Class of 2017

Rhea Castro

Rhea's experience in pharmacy leadership comes from her positions as APhA-ASP Operation Diabetes Co-Chair and DKICP Student Ambassador.  She is a proud active member of Phi Lambda Sigma, Phi Delta Chi, APhA-ASP, and the A.L.O.H.A. Project.  Outside of school Rhea is an intern at CVS Pharmacy.  Rhea most admires those who lead by example and believes that great leaders don't just achieve, but inspire others to become leaders as well.

Abraham Jose

Abraham served as PLS Historian for the 2015 - 2016 term.  He has served in numerous leadership positions including Student Activites Coordinator for the Class of 2017 and as the UHHSA College of Pharmacy Senator where he chaired the Legislature, Commencement, and Parking Appeals Board Committees for the main UHH campus.  Along with serving as a leader at the College of Pharmacy, he is an intern at CVS Pharmacy.  Abraham also served as the Research Coordinator for the A.L.O.H.A. Project (2015 - 2016) term.

Nadine So

Nadine will served as President of the Delta Lambda Chapter for the 2015 - 2016 term.  She currently serves as Historian for the Class of 2017 Class Council, Editor-in-Chief of the Class of 2017 Yearbook Committee, and is the Rho Chi Society Tutoring Chair.  Nadine exhibits outstanding service to the community and her vision is to enhance leadership in pharmacy by promoting and recognizing the leadership of students at the DKICP.

Lynnett Tran

Lynnett served as Secretary for PLS (2015 - 2016).  She has served as Treasurer for the Class of 2017 Student Council, Community Outreach Chair of Kappa Psi, Professional Development Chair of HSSHP, and President of AMCP.  In addition, she also served as the Vice-President of HSSHP and continuing her participation in AMCP.

Christopher Diaz

Christopher served as a student ambassador for the DKICP and Chair of the Scholastics Committee in the Phi Delta Chi Professional Pharmacy Fraternity.  He belives Leadership is a fundamental skill that is learned through your own unique experiences and a continuous process that we should always strive to refine.  During the 2015 - 2016 academic year, he served as President of the Rho Chi Society and Vice-President of the A.L.O.H.A. Project.

Ryan Shiroma

Ryan served as PLS Treasurer for the 2015 - 2016 academic school year.  He held other leadership positions such as Treasurer of HSSHP and Generation Rx Co-Chair of APhA.  In addition, Ryan also served as President for HSSHP and Secretary of APhA.  Outside of school, Ryan is an intern at Albertsons-Safeway Pharmacy.

Hannah Shin

Hannah served as Student Activities Co-coordinator of the Class of 2017 Student Council (2013-present), Operation Heart Co-Chair of APhA-ASP (2014-2015), and Site Coordinator for The A.L.O.H.A. Project (2015-present). Her contributions range from planning and executing class events, such as Winter Formal where her class raised over $3000 for the class gift, to coordinating and overlooking health screenings. During the 2014-2015 year, Operation Heart held 17 health screenings throughout the Hilo community and 1 in Waimea, and screened a total of 226 people. ​

Deandra Viluan

Deandra served as PLS Vice-President for the 2015 - 2016 academic school year.  She has served on multiple executive boards such as President of P.I.M.S.C. and continued to be the Class of 2017 Student Representative on the Assessment Committee.  Other leadership roles that she has served include Community Liaison of P.I.M.S.C., Community Outreach Co-Chair of HSSHP., and Pledge Leader of Kappa Psi.
