Jhoana Paula Gonzales

Jhoana actively served in the Executive Board of many organizations during the 2017-2018 school year which included APhA-ASP International Vice President, NCPA Finance and Fundraising Co-Chair and Generation Rx Chair, and Kappa Psi Pledge Educator. She is also a student research assistant for Dr. Dianqing Sun and a pharmacy intern for KTA Pharmacy. She serves the community by presenting with Generation Rx about the misuse and abuse of prescription drugs, and Tobacco Prevention Project to children around the island, and also as a Community Outreach Co-Chair for the DKICP Annual Health Fair. She believes that the best leaders are those who lead by example and inspire others to become leaders as well. In the upcoming year, she will strive to promote the passion for leadership in the DKICP community.

Vincent Manalo

Vince believes that leadership is the ability to unlock people’s potential to become better. He is currently serving as a DKICP Student Ambassador, Operation Diabetes Chair for APhA-ASP, and is the Treasurer for the Class of 2020 Student Council. In addition, he is an active member of the Phi Delta Chi Professional Pharmacy Fraternity. Vince looks forward to growing as a leader and leaving a great impact on DKICP and his fellow students in the years to come.

Johnny Tran

Johnny has a drive to develop himself as a leader as well as others through showing how everyone can become a leader.  His early participation in leadership and organizations has given him the skills to excel in the positions he currently holds today. Johnny’s first position as Class of 2020 Liaison proved to his dedication to develop himself as a leader. Currently he serves on the APhA-ASP Hawaii Chapter’s Treasurer and NCPA Hawaii Chapter’s Social Chair. He hopes to cultivate his motivational and leadership skills in the following 2017-2018 academic year to hopefully guide others to strive to develop themselves.

Cherie Baldugo

Cherie is currently the Historian for Class of 2020 Student Council and NCPA, and the community service co-chair for Phi Delta Chi. I am also a pharmacy intern with Kaiser Permanente. Cherie believes that being an exceptional leader is more than being a role model for others. Being a leader means not seeking or wanting recognition for work you do, but to work hard in silence and letting success be your noise. Part of that success is being able to inspire and motivate others to be leaders themselves. I hope to be able to do that as being a new member of Phi Lambda Sigma.

Mary Lui

Mary will serve as the A.L.O.H.A. Project Chair, Ho’omalu Ola Committee Co-Chair, and the P3 Curriculum Committee Representative for the 2018-2019 term. She is proactive in seeking out opportunities to further improve herself. Mary believes leadership is realizing the success of others is just as important as your own. She strives to help others grow both academically and professionally.

Jared Toba

Jared found his passion for pharmacy while serving as a volunteer at an independent pharmacy on Maui, prior to entering pharmacy school. He will serve as the President for the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) during the 2018-2019 school year. Jared currently serves as the President-Elect of NCPA and Chaplain of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Inc. He is also currently a pharmacy intern at Safeway Pharmacy in Hilo. Jared believes that leadership is about leading by example and taking advantage of the opportunities that are presented to you. He is driven by his love for his community in Hawai‘i and he hopes to see DKICP continue to flourish as a professional school in the many years to come.

Johnson Tran

Johnson believes leadership is having the innate ability to motivate and inspire others to work towards a common goal. He will continue to utilize his qualities as a leader through his roles as DKICP Student Ambassador, DKICP Health Fair Entertainment Co-Chair, Student Council Class of 2020 Historian, Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity Historian, Kappa Psi Finance and Fundraising Co-Chair, and as Blue Zones Project Events Coordinator.
